Leah's 25th

Yesterday was Leah's birthday but we planned to have the party today.

We met at Brewberry and had a round of chat and laughed a lot... Just like the old times. Old friends catching up with each other. Our table had the same group of people from our old hangout place at Ralf's.

When everybody was settled, we then decided to eat at Butcher's Best, the best barbeque place in town, as their ad says. Hahaha.

Looking at this picture above, gawd I look old. Apple sure looked prettier than usual today, Raul came with a breath of fresh air (who wouldn't with that bare chest?), and Leah, the birthday girl, in her perpetual beauty glow that just makes me feel drab. Hahaha! Really Leah, I feel like a maid sitting next to you.

Our dinner was really heavy. The hot and spicy pork barbeques, the angus beef with gravy, sizzling sisig and garlic rice. And take note, I had an extra half rice. Hahaha! Too bad I forgot to take pictures. So much for my healthy-eating resolution. At least we only drank water. Well, Leah's birthday just comes once a year. So...

After Butcher's, we decided to go for a videoke so we could sing our hearts out. We went to Silver Rain, the new videoke joint above Kathryn's bakery. It was my first time there and I found the place to be quite neat.

After this picture was taken, I thought of getting Leah a birthday cake and since the bakery is only downstairs, I pitched in the idea to Raul and he agreed. The bakery was kinda busy with customers and I was looking at the display and saw the cream puff, one of my fave munchies at Kathryn's and asked Raul if he's tried one and he said no and told him he should. He bought us one each, he took a bite and he loved it! Sorry girls, it was too yummy to share!

After we bought the cake, we had it set up with 2 candles, the numbers 2 and 5. Raul had the idea of putting it as 52 just for laughs. But Leah didn't mind the typo, she was really surprised when we came back with the cake!

So what did you wish for this year?

Well, we forgot to ask you that. Anyway, our wish for you is good health and great fun all year round!

Slice the cake na Leah coz we want to eat na! Aw, ako ra diay. Hahaha!
